New York Giants

The New York Giants is one of the oldest franchises in NFL. The New York Giants season started in 1925 and became the NFL champions after three seasons. Before the merger, the New York Giants posted a total of four NFL crowns. Currently the New York Giants football team also holds a total of two Super Bowl titles (XXI and XXV) to date. The New York Giants stadium is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The stadium is named the Giants Stadium for its home games but if the game is played as a home game of the New York Jets, the stadium is named the Meadowlands.

There are currently two versions of the New York Giants logo. The first logo is composed of letters “n” and “y” where the letter “n” is underlined by the letter “y”. The letters are colored blue and are bordered in red. The other logo is a quarterback standing over the Giants Stadium with a standard Giants uniform. The football is colored red and the quarterback wears a color blue uniform.

The New York Giants had posted most of its winning season before the merger from 1925-1963. It was in that period the team won their NFL titles and appeared in various playoffs. After their playoff appearance in 1963, the Giants waited 17 years before finally making a playoff appearance, in 1981. The New York Giants won their first Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXV, five years after they appeared in the playoffs. They would repeat their winning ways four years after by defeating the Bills 20-19 in Super Bowl XXV. The Giants appeared again for the Super Bowl XXXV but was blown out by the Ravens 34-7. In their latest season, the Giants was able to qualify for the playoffs but was eliminated immediately by the Eagles 23-20.
